Port holes on a T-Bird, Opera Windows of a Continental, and Hood Scoops on a Firebird all tell of Detroit's unique way setting themselves apart for the others. Ford Station Wagons of the late 1940"s had a design featuring wooden panels on the side of the body that added a third dimension to the body panels. In later years, Chrysler used simulated wood features on the mini vans of the 1980's.
